| "Milwauke Road commuter loco F40C #41 was one of only 15 built strictly for the Chicago commuter service that the Milwaukee Road provided. This unit was built in April of 1974 and named the "City of Elgin". It eventually became METX #601 after the collapse of the Milwaukee Road. No photographer was listed for this photo. |
