My only regret is not having become a railfan a little sooner than I did. I grew up in Intervale NH in the 1950's and 60's, but didn't take to rail photography until I arrived at college in Waterville ME in the mid-1960's. But at least I had the opportunity to capture on film some first-generation diesel activity. I'd have to say the Maine Central is my favorite railroad, followed by the Boston & Maine and other New England railroads.
